In response to the publication of Renewable Energy Technical Advice Note (TAN 8) Pennant Walters is formed (2005), with the aim of utilising both the groups extensive land holding and civil engineering expertise to develop renewable energy projects whilst broadening the groups’ activities. Our early work muckshifting was founded on graft, hard work and a reputation for getting the job done. We’ve since become a major regional civil engineer and the largest earthworks and material handling contractor in the UK. Throughout our history, we have organically grown and diversified into a number of related sectors and are now one of the foremost authorities at delivering infrastructure, renewable energy and residential development in Wales and the South West. We have a clear track record of diversifying into new and emerging markets whilst always maintaining a plant and civil engineering service at our core. We now operate and maintain the largest independently owned plant fleet in the UK supported by our own dedicated operators and maintenance facilities. Based in Wales and with offices across the UK, we are a proud local and national company that is trusted and respected across the sectors we work in.
